Okay, I’m going to get reflective and somber here. If you’re not in the mood for a downer, move on.
Have you ever stopped to think about some of the people you’ve met in your life? I’m not talking about the clerk at the local grocery store. No, I’m talking about the people you’ve met, but only briefly gotten to know. Maybe its the neighbor that you give a waive as you drive by or share an minute with discussing the weather or sports team. A classmate that you’ve collaborated with in a class, but never shared a beer with them. It’s that sort of relationship that is more an acquaintance, but not necessarily a friend.
These people are part of the journey in our lives. We see them or speak with them infrequently, but some how they remain memorable enough. Some have found ways to briefly enrich our lives, give new perspective on our lives, or bring grief/pain to our lives. But only for a few moments our journeys intertwine and then continue their separate ways.
